God created us for this: to live our lives in a way that makes him look more like the greatness and the beauty and the infinite worth that he really is.
1 Chronicles 16:9-10 “Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; meditate on and talk of all His wondrous works and devoutly praise them! Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!”
That is why we should “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name. Bring an offering and come before Him; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness and in holy array” (1 Chron 16:29). Isaiah understood our purpose which is why he wrote “Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made” (Isaiah 43:7).
“…that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”Colossians 2:2b-3
“Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker” (Psalm 95:1-6). In Jesus’ name, Amen.340
