Ancient Hidden Prayer

Father, I thank You that You never leave me nor forsaken me. Therefore, I am content no matter what my situation may be.

I will not allow myself to become covetous and desirous of that which belongs to another.

I already have all of the best that heaven has to offer. I do not worry about creditors or competitors.

I boldly say that You are my helper, Lord. I will not fear what man can do to me.

Father, in You I find joy in the midst of trials. I know that my faith’s trying produces patience; when patience has conceived, she makes a tremendous harvest.

I will let patience have her perfect work so that I may be perfect and complete, wanting nothing.

I keep myself free from the love of money and remain happy and content in the Lord no matter what my circumstance may be, for God has promised that He will never leave me nor forsake me.

Therefore, I can say with unwavering confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

I consider it pure joy whenever I find myself facing trials and temptations (to give up on my faith) of every kind;

For I know that the testing of my faith produces in me an enduring patience; and once this patience becomes an unfailing part of my character (when I am mature and complete in it), I will lack no good thing in my life.

Wisdom is precious to me and knowledge is pleasant to my soul.

The Lord grants me wisdom liberally whenever I ask for it.

He never finds reason to hold it from me. Therefore, in all I do, I will seek His wisdom and walk a sure path toward inevitable victory.

I refuse to be double-minded. I do not reason against the promises, nor do I allow circumstances to form the basis of what I believe.

I believe in the promise. Period. I will not allow doubts to progress in my mind. No matter what situation I find myself in, I will be steady as a rock.
